Join the Editorial Advisory Board or Contribute as a Scientific Reviewer

As with most journals, Biologicals is dependent on volunteers to serve as members of our Editorial Advisory Board, as well as Scientific Reviewers.

We are recruiting volunteers with a strong scientific and/or regulatory background in the development and/or lifecycle management of biological products

Editorial Advisory Board (EAB) members of Biologicals have the following responsibilities:

  • EAB Members are responsible for advising the Editor in Chief (EiC) on scientific and strategic issues related to the journal.

  • EAB Members are responsible for working with the EIC to identify potential reviewers.

  • EAB Members are responsible for promoting the journal as a global resource for discussion and resolution of topics related to Regulatory Sciences of human and animal biologicals.

  • EAB Members are responsible for guiding the EiC on topics which might be useful to pursue for scientific articles and reviews.

  • EAB Members are responsible for attending periodic teleconferences (4-6 per year) to assist the EiC in addressing issues and mapping strategy.

Desired skills and requirements include:

  • A desire to serve as a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of a dynamic and influential journal.

  • A strong scientific/regulatory background in the development and/or lifecycle management of biological products.

  • An acknowledged standing in a field related to biological human and/or animal health products.

  • A team-player, with strong collaborative and communications skills.

Reviewers for Biologicals have the following responsibilities:

  • Reviewers are responsible for timely and expert review of articles assigned by the Section Editors of Biologicals.

  • Reviewers are responsible for dynamic communications with the assigning Section Editor to ensure progress and to address review issues.

  • Reviewers are responsible for identifying communicating opportunities to improve the review process for Biologicals

Desired skills and requirements include:

  • A strong scientific/regulatory background in the development and/or lifecycle management of biological products.

  • Industry, academic and/or regulatory experience with human and/or animal health products.

  • Commit to a timely review of articles.

  • Commit to dynamic communications with the Assigning Editor and/or Managing Editor to ensure progress and to address review issues.

  • Identifying communicating opportunities to improve the review process for Biologicals.
