BIOLOGICALS

Biologicals is a major international journal devoted to the timely publication of broad-ranging reports relevant to the development, preparation and quality control of biologicals used in human and veterinary medicine. The journal is also an important forum for debate and news concerning all aspects of the preparation, standardization and regulatory requirements of biological products. Reports on biologicals derived from novel technologies such as gene-therapy products, and on contemporary issues such as the use of bovine sera, combined vaccines, etc, are especially encouraged.

Three types of paper are acceptable: original research reports, short papers and review articles dealing with topics of current interest. In addition, the journal will assure prompt publication of comments and letters to the editor, book reviews, meeting and patent/licence reports, and information on regulatory requirements and other new publications.

Since 1965, the IABS has convened more than 100 international meetings of contemporary interest in human and veterinary medicine. The proceedings are published by S. Karger (Basel) in the symposia series, Developments in Biologicals (previously called Developments in Biological Standardization).

The IABS Newsletter

The Newsletter reports the current activities of the IABS regarding membership, scientific activities, announcements, programmes of upcoming symposia, as well as reports of the General Assembly.

It is published periodically and sent by email to members who have provided their address.

News items are not limited to IABS activities and frequently include short reports or announcements related to the activities of other groups concerned with biological products.
